The "Bug" Project
The project was to create a product for a purposefully minuscule problem that “bugged” those in our community. I decided to solve the issue of unhygienic hair being left in communal showers, a problem that plagues communal living solutions worldwide.
Research
To begin, I interviewed 15+ individuals—ranging in age, gender, and ethnicity—to compile a comprehensive list of “bugs” that ailed them. I ultimately noticed this issue of leftover hair in communal showers was the most oft-repeated bug by far and narrowed that as the problem I aim to solve.
